How did this project pick me, of all people? It was not a obvious step, given a resume with banking, strategy consulting, health care administration, and education. I’m straight, I’m married, I did my decade in a minivan. I grew up in Baltimore and was a teen in the 70’s, when even John Waters wasn’t out.

But when I couldn’t find the friend-to-friend sort of advice book or website I wanted, the idea of making one would not leave me alone. My experience in moderating group discussions (marketing focus groups, quality teams,  program development groups, etc.)  came in handy designing interviews and then bringing together the stories and experiences from people all over the US and even from a few other countries.

I live in New York City with my husband and three children.
